Paint the sea with this watercolour set.
This palette captures the ever shifting and changing hues of the Atlantic ocean at a cove on the Lizard Point, Cornwall. Despite spending many hours looking out to sea in search of the creatures that reside there, it was at this cove that I finally saw my first bob of seals…. or perhaps it was the Selkies. those mythical seals of lore and legend with shapeshifting abilities.
The Selkies palette includes these colours:
Malachite
Ethereal, soft green.
Green Oxide
Opaque and earthy green.
Ultramarine Blue
warm blue granulation.
Prussian Blue
Deep blue for depth and shadows.
Violet Mid Shade
Rich tonal range.
Black Graphite
Adds granulation and dark tones.
Where the Selkies Swim watercolour set comes in a pocket sized tin with the six half pans secured by magnets. Therefore you can arrange or replace your palette as you wish. A hand painted colour swatch to illustrate the characteristics of each colour is provided with your palette.
